GRAND BLACK SEA FORUM

The Grand Black Sea Forum, to be hosted by Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), will be organized as one of the flagship events of the project. The forum will bring together key stakeholders from academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and public institutions across the Black Sea region.

Planned to take place over three days, the Forum will serve as a dynamic platform where:

  • Project outputs, results and best practices will be shared,
  • Opportunities for national and international collaboration will be created,
  • Innovative technologies will be showcased,
  • The use of the T3N-BSB Portal will be promoted.

Key Features of the Forum

  • 4 Seminars will be delivered by the developers of the most promising technologies identified within the T3N-BSB Project. These sessions will be designed to transfer know-how, inspire participants, and encourage cross-border adoption.
  • 2 Thematic Workshops will be held:
    • Workshop 1 will focus on the formation of project consortia around open calls related to the blue economy, low-carbon economy, climate change adaptation, and sustainability.
    • Workshop 2 will be shaped around a company’s R&D needs and will aim to strengthen university-industry collaboration through co-designed innovative solutions.
  • At least 20 B2B Matchmaking Meetings will be facilitated, enabling researchers, entrepreneurs, companies, and clusters to explore joint project development, investment opportunities, and knowledge exchange.
  • An International Project Competition will be launched, where at least 20 selected projects will be presented. Participants will be invited to showcase their technologies and projects and will compete for awards based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.

Expected Outcomes

  • Participation of 400+ stakeholders from 4 countries will be ensured,
  • Visibility and adoption of the project’s digital tools and results will be enhanced,
  • Real-time collaboration among target groups will be fostered,
  • Concrete project ideas and partnerships will be generated as a result of forum activities.

The Grand Black Sea Forum is expected to act not only as a final dissemination and celebration event of the project, but also as a launching platform for future research, innovation, and transnational cooperation efforts in the Black Sea region.
